VOICED : Cuba prevé ofrecer su vacuna anticovid a turistas internacionales

Cuba announced that its domestically produced Soberana 2 vaccine will be available to travelers, not tied to tourist packages. The country plans to reopen for international tourism on November 15, following a decline in COVID-19 cases. The government expects over 100,000 visitors by year-end and two million in 2022. Starting November 7, Cuba will eliminate mandatory quarantine and PCR tests for international travelers, opting for random testing instead. The Soberana vaccine requires three doses, with the first administered upon arrival and the remaining two taken home by tourists. The vaccines, including Soberana 2, Soberana Plus, and Abdala, have emergency use authorization in Cuba, and the government seeks WHO approval. Cuba aims to immunize 90% of its eligible population by November.
