Scientists Discover New Species of Dinosaur in Chile

Two Chilean scientists, David Rubia and Alexander Vargas, discovered a new dinosaur species, Domicosaurus chilensis, named after Ignacio Domico. This long-necked plant eater, from the Titanosaurus family, lived 70 million years ago. The find is significant as it is the most complete dinosaur skeleton found in Chile, with 40% of the skeleton assembled. The species is unique due to differences in the neural arches of its vertebrae. The dinosaur likely fed on Oricaria plants.
