Ireland's Supreme Court ruled that Subway's bread is too sugary to be classified as bread, affecting tax breaks for food staples. Subway's 6-inch white bread contains 5 grams of sugar, similar to an Oreo cookie. As of 2016, Subway had over 600 franchised locations on college campuses.
