Developing a Robotic Suit to Aid Mobility for the Disabled and Elderly

The video discusses the development of an assistive suit designed to help the disabled and elderly walk by detecting muscle signals to anticipate movements. Developed by Professor Yoshiyuku Sankai and his team at the University of Takuba, the suit can also enhance muscle strength for heavy work. Known as Hal 3, it features motor drives, a computer system, and a power supply in a backpack. The suit is still being refined, with plans for commercial production.
