Chadian-Nigerian forces have successfully reclaimed the city of Malam Fatori from Boko Haram, significantly reducing the group's capabilities. Despite this victory, Boko Haram remains a threat, continuing to conduct suicide attacks and use improvised explosives. The city was a strategic target for the Chadian troops since their entry into northeastern Nigeria. Now, major Nigerian cities previously occupied by Boko Haram are under the control of regular armed forces from Chad, Niger, or Nigeria.
