USAF airmen captured during Korean War in Hong Kong and then Tokyo after being released from prison by Communist China

Eleven U.S. airmen, previously held by Chinese forces, are released and cross into Hong Kong. Led by Colonel John K. Arnold, Jr. and Major William H. Baumer, the airmen were imprisoned for over two years after being shot down over North Korea. Despite being far from the Chinese border, they received lengthy sentences. Upon their return to Tokyo, they are welcomed by Major General Paul E. Rustow and share stories of their harsh treatment. The airmen are now headed home, eager to reunite with their families.
