In 2022, Belgium seized a record 110 tons of cocaine at the port of Antwerp, surpassing the previous record of 89.5 tons. A significant portion of the cocaine originated from Latin America, particularly Panama, Colombia, and Ecuador. The success of these operations is attributed to international cooperation, especially with the Netherlands and South America. Together, Belgium and the Netherlands seized a total of 160 tons of cocaine in 2022.
