VOICED : Arqueólogos hallan momias de seis niños víctimas de sacrificios en Perú

In Peru, six child mummies were discovered, dating back 1,000-1,200 years. These children were likely sacrificed alongside a significant social figure in the ancient urban complex of Cajamarquilla, near Lima. The site also revealed remains of seven adults, possibly family or servants of the buried figure. This discovery increased the total number of remains found by San Marcos University researchers since November 2021 to 14. Cajamarquilla, a prehispanic city, could have housed 10,000-20,000 people across 167 hectares, constructed around 200 BC and occupied until 1500.
