VOICED: Crisis politica en Rumania

In Romania, the Unión Social Liberal coalition, in power since May, ousted the Senate president, which the opposition labeled a coup. The center-right president urged respect for public institutions, condemning the coalition's attempt to control the judiciary. He called on the parliamentary majority to cease actions against state institutions. The center-right government fell after a no-confidence vote by the left alliance in April. In June, the Unión Social Liberal won municipal and regional elections.
