VOICED : Portela campeona en carnaval de Rio tras 33 anos sin triunfos

The Portela Samba School won the Rio Carnival after 33 years without a victory. The results were announced after evaluating nine criteria, including percussion and float quality. Despite the win, the event was marred by two serious float accidents injuring at least 32 people. In response, the Independent League of Samba Schools decided that no school would be relegated to a lower division due to these incidents.
