New York, New Jersey And Connecticut To Launch Contact Tracing Program

The state is collaborating with New Jersey and Connecticut to initiate a contact tracing program, which involves testing, tracing, and isolating individuals who test positive for COVID-19. Governor Cuomo acknowledges the challenges of perfect implementation and the need for a large workforce, including 35,000 medical students. Mike Bloomberg, along with Johns Hopkins University and Vital Strategies, is assisting in developing the program and donating $10 million. Bloomberg emphasizes the importance of systems to identify and support exposed individuals to safely ease restrictions. New York, the hardest-hit state, is seeing a decline in COVID-19 deaths.
