No Clear Winner In Israel Election

The Israeli elections ended in a deadlock with neither Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nor his opponent Benny Gantz securing a majority. Unofficial results show Gantz's party with 32 seats and Netanyahu's with 31, both short of the 61 needed for a majority. This has led to consultations with Israel's president to determine who will attempt to form a coalition. Netanyahu's previous failure to form a coalition led to this second election, and if no coalition is formed again, another election may occur. Due to the uncertainty, Netanyahu canceled his UN trip.
