2 Oklahoma Police Officers Charged With Murder In Stun Gun Death

In 2019, Jared Lakey died after being repeatedly tased by Wilson police officers Joshua Taylor and Brandon Dingman. The officers responded to a call about Lakey's disorderly behavior and used stun guns 53 times in nine minutes. Lakey's death was linked to multiple heart attacks caused by the stun gun use. Following an investigation, arrest warrants were issued for the officers, who turned themselves in and were released on bond. If convicted, they face 10 years to life in prison.
