In Nicaragua, a pastor and four followers were sentenced to 30 years in prison for the murder of Vilma Trujillo during an exorcism ritual. The court imposed a maximum sentence and a fine for each convict. Trujillo was taken to a church, where she was held, tortured, and eventually thrown into a fire under the guise of expelling a demon.
