VOICED : Catar inaugura su primera planta de energía solar

Qatar has inaugurated its first solar power plant, a massive project covering over 10 square kilometers in Al-Karsal, west of Doha. With an investment of $470 million, the plant features nearly two million photovoltaic panels and an 800-megawatt capacity, aiming to supply 10% of the country's electricity. The project, operational since June, is a collaboration with Japanese company Marubeni and French Total Energies. It aligns with Qatar's goal to achieve 5 gigawatts of solar power by 2035 and supports the carbon-neutral promise for the 2022 World Cup.
