Roger Kluh, a German entrepreneur and navigator, set a new record by crossing the 160 kilometers from the US to Cuba in 1 hour and 45 minutes. This journey, completed in his Apache Star boat with three crew members, was a significant achievement as it broke a 57-year-old record. The last record was set in 1958, taking 6 hours and 24 minutes. Kluh's journey faced technical challenges but was successful, marking a historical event. He hopes this achievement will foster future nautical activities between Cuba and the US, which recently restored diplomatic relations.
