VOICED : Bachelet vuelve a Villa Grimaldi

Villa Grimaldi, once a restaurant for Santiago's elite, became a detention and torture center under Pinochet's dictatorship. Thousands of opponents were detained, with 236 executed or disappeared. Notable survivors include former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and her mother, Ángela Heria. They revisited the site on the 40th anniversary of the dictatorship's start. Bachelet, a medical student at the time, was detained with her mother after her father's death, who was loyal to the ousted Allende government. Bachelet has not spoken about her torture, but her mother cannot forgive. Bachelet is now a leading candidate in the upcoming election.
