The Costa Concordia, a cruise ship larger than the Titanic, is being prepared for its final journey to Genoa for dismantling, two and a half years after a tragic accident that claimed 32 lives. Survivors revisited the ship, which was righted in a monumental rescue effort. The ship remains afloat with air tanks attached to its sides. There is hope for financial compensation for the victims. The total cost of the rescue, refloating, transport, and dismantling is estimated at $2 billion.
