Super Earth TOI-561b

TOI 56 One B is an exoplanet in the Milky Way Galaxy, discovered in 2020 by the TESS satellite. It is one of the oldest rocky planets, with an estimated age of 13 billion years. Located 280 light years away, it is a third larger than Earth and orbits its G-type star in 10.5 hours. With a mass 1.59 times that of Earth, it is unique but inhospitable due to its high surface temperature of 36130°F. The planet is tidally locked, featuring a permanent day side with a likely magma ocean. Research is ongoing, led by Lauren Wise's team at the University of Hawaii.
