New Ancient Human Fossils

These fossils, found in a sandstone layer at Matamenge, are at least 700,000 years old. The discovery helps clarify the evolutionary history of Homo floresiensis, a species that puzzled scientists due to its small stature and primitive skeleton. The new finds suggest a link to Homo erectus, despite significant size differences. Further research is needed to fully understand their place in human evolution.
