VOICED : Honduras Guatemala y El Salvador se unen contra pandillas

The presidents of Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador launched a trinational force to secure their shared borders and combat organized crime. This force, composed of police and military personnel, aims to enhance political, technical, and operational coordination. The inauguration took place in Ocotepec, near the convergence of the three countries' borders. Despite being a region without war, Central America is highly violent, with over 17,000 homicides recorded in 2015. The violence is largely attributed to gang activity and drug trafficking, which use these countries as a transit route to the U.S.
