Afghanistan's heroin, not for export only

Afghanistan is a major producer of heroin, which fuels terrorism and corruption. Despite the economic benefits for some, the drug trade leaves Afghan farmers with little profit. A significant portion of heroin remains in the country, leading to a domestic addiction crisis affecting nearly 4% of the population. The lack of education and decades of war contribute to this issue. Rehabilitation opportunities are scarce, with limited treatment centers available, leaving many addicts marginalized in society.
