North Korean rocket carrying its 2nd spy satellite explodes in mid-air

North Korea failed to launch its second spy satellite into orbit. South Korea and Japan reported a missile launch into the sea, prompting Japan to issue and later lift a shelter alert for Okinawa. North Korea had previously launched a military satellite last November, with plans for more launches this year as promised by leader Kim Jong Un.
