President Trump Approves Emergency Declaration For Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico experienced two major earthquakes, a 5.8 and a 6.4 magnitude, causing significant damage and casualties. Over 500 smaller quakes have occurred since late December. Governor Wanda Vazquez requested federal aid, which was promptly granted by President Trump and FEMA, covering 75% of costs across all municipalities. Although no tsunami warnings are in effect, further aftershocks are expected, posing additional risks.
