Democratic Candidates Threaten To Skip Debate Amid Labor Dispute

Democratic debate participants have expressed support for a labor union and will not cross a picket line at Loyola Marymount University, where a labor dispute is ongoing. Local 11, representing workers, has been negotiating with Sodexo, a subcontractor, since March. The DNC is working to resolve the issue to proceed with the debate. Sodexo insists it is committed to reaching an agreement. This is not the first time labor disputes have impacted a debate, as a similar issue occurred at UCLA last month.
