The story follows Peter Pan and the Lost Boys as they prepare to return to England from Neverland. Peter assumes the role of captain, leading the boys on their pirate ship. Meanwhile, back at the Darling household, Mr. Darling has confined himself to Nana's kennel as a form of penance for losing his children. The public eventually praises his sacrifice. Peter devises a plan to lock the window to make the children believe their parents forgot them, but he feels guilty after seeing Mrs. Darling's tears. Ultimately, Peter leaves the window open, allowing the children to return home and surprise their parents.
