What is the purpose of persuasion?

• To win your trust and influence how you think.

• To win your trust and let you think for yourself what is right.

• To give you information.

What question do you need to ask yourself when presented with information?

• Is it fair and unbiased? 

   

• Is it what I want to hear?

Why is it important to look at all the evidence presented?

• You should always believe what you read.

• Everything you read is fake.

• Sometimes they will mix in facts with, things that are not 100% true or over exaggerate ideas. 

• Most information is not true. They are mainly over exagerated. 

What does an "attack" try to do?

• Enhance your emotions

• Embellish facts

• Both of these answers

How can flattery persuade you to buy something or think a particular way? Give one example.

• It gives you confidence so you don't need to buy it. "You're so awesome! You should try this drink for awesome people!"

• It makes you feel good about yourself, which will then make you want to buy it. "You're so awesome! You should try this drink for awesome people!"

What's an example of inclusive language?

• "I" can do it!

• "We" can do it!

• "You" have the power.

What should you seek out when looking at a piece of information?

• The source.

• The facts.

• The purpose of the information.
