ESL Days of the Week is a free printable English worksheet for students in Grades 9–12 who are developing confidence with everyday calendar vocabulary. It contains 10 multiple-choice questions that ask learners to complete the weekly sequence, identify the beginning of the week, count the seven days, and recognize Saturday and Sunday as days with no school. Students also practise time-order relationships by identifying the day before or after a stated day and interpreting “yesterday,” “today,” and “tomorrow.” The repeated multiple-choice format lets learners focus on meaning and sequence while reviewing the names of all seven days. Teachers can use the worksheet for guided practice, independent review, or a quick check of understanding. A complete answer key is included for efficient checking and feedback.

This worksheet builds recognition and sequencing of the seven days of the week through 10 multiple-choice questions. Students complete missing days in a sequence, identify which day comes before or after another, interpret yesterday and tomorrow, and determine the number of days in a week.
Introduce the seven day names in order, then use a calendar or board to model the sequence and the meanings of before, after, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Have students explain why each multiple-choice option fits, especially for the relationship questions, before assigning the worksheet for independent practice.
Students may confuse the order of nearby days, such as Tuesday and Thursday, or select the stated day instead of the day before or after it. Watch for reversals when interpreting yesterday and tomorrow, and check that students choose seven days rather than counting the distractor numbers in the final quantity question.
The worksheet is available as a printable PDF and as a digital quiz on Wayground, and it includes a complete answer key for all 10 multiple-choice questions. For printable submissions, you can scan student work with the Wayground for Teachers app to grade it efficiently.
In the worksheet’s Advanced Settings, adjust font spacing or increase the font size to make the day sequences and answer choices easier to read. You can also enable a dyslexia-friendly font or translate the worksheet into another language to support learners who need additional access to the English vocabulary.
