Rounding Review is a Grade 4 mathematics worksheet that builds fluency with rounding whole numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1,000. Students identify the place value used to round, select numbers that produce a target rounded value, determine which rounding place was used, and find a possible original number. The worksheet also reinforces comparing and ordering five-digit numbers, including selecting correct comparison statements and identifying least-to-greatest order. This free printable worksheet contains 11 varied items: multiple-select questions, multiple-choice questions, and a fill-in-the-blank rounding problem. It is useful for reviewing place value and rounding strategies, checking whether students can apply those strategies in reverse, and connecting rounding with number comparison. A complete answer key is included for efficient checking, reteaching, or independent practice.

This Grade 4 worksheet uses 11 multiple-choice, multiple-select, and fill-in-the-blank items to practice rounding whole numbers to the nearest 10, 100, and 1,000. Students identify the rounding place, select numbers that round to a target value, determine which original number could not produce a rounded result, and apply comparison and ordering skills.
Introduce the worksheet by having students identify the place value used in each rounding task and use skip-counting patterns for 10, 100, and 1,000. Work through one example of selecting all numbers that round to a target value, then discuss how students can reason backward from a rounded number. Use the comparison and ordering items as a short bridge from place-value understanding to rounding review.
Students may select only one answer on the multiple-select items, overlook a number that also rounds to the target, or confuse rounding to the nearest 100 with rounding to the nearest 1,000. Watch for errors when students reason backward from 87,000, compare digits in numbers such as 65,201 and 65,210, or reverse least-to-greatest order. They may also choose the wrong skip-count value for the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000 items.
