Bring in your state test, screener, and interim data
And compare it with your Common Assessments data
Build test readiness all year
Students build familiarity
20+ question types mirror state test formats, plus a testing environment that helps students get comfortable with the experience of test day.
Accessible by design
Accommodations are set at the student level, with case managers able to manage them centrally. Universal tools like calculators and read-aloud are available to every student, and everyone can work on the same Common Assessment without being singled out.
Test-mirrored practice
The TEIs and the testing environment are matched to your state test, so when it's finally test day, nothing about it is new for students.

Plays well with your entire tech stack
No more data silos or manual imports. Common Assessments connects seamlessly with PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Canvas, Schoology, and more. Your IT team will thank you.

Got a question?
We already use MAP Growth or i-Ready. Why do we need this?
They tell you where a student stands two or three times a year. Common Assessments in Wayground tell you whether last week's instruction worked. Wayground runs the second and reads the first alongside it.
Can we bring in our state test and screener data?
Yes. NWEA MAP Growth, Renaissance Star, and i-Ready out of the box, plus the ten largest state testing programs, plus custom file templates built during onboarding. Student matching runs on the local or state IDs in your Clever or ClassLink sync.
How is standards mastery calculated?
Most recent assessment by default. Average, decaying average, and highest are available. Band names, cut scores, and which bands count as mastery are configurable per report.
Do teachers have to learn a new tool?
Most already use Wayground. Common Assessments run in the same interface, so a district-wide program does not start with district-wide training.
Do you offer a lockdown browser?
Yes. Respondus LockDown Browser is included in your contract at no additional charge.
How do you support students with accommodations?
Accommodations are part of the same assessment every other student takes, set at the student level. Case managers can set them up centrally.
Does Wayground use AI, and what happens to our data?
Ask AI answers questions about your own report data. Wayground complies with FERPA and COPPA, and we are ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified. No student data is passed to AI. See our Privacy Center for how Wayground handles data.
Can teachers author Common Assessments, or is it district-controlled?
Both. District and school teams author and share Common Assessments centrally; teachers build their own. Permissions decide who sees and edits what.
What does it take to get started?
A roster sync and your pacing guide. Most districts run their first district-wide assessment within the first term.
