The Montagues and the Capulets have hated each other for years. After a violent street fight between thetwo family gangs, the Capulets hold a ball to try to get the Prince of Verona on their side because he isinterested in their beautiful 13-year-old daughter, Juliet. However, their plan backfires. Juliet falls in love withan uninvited guest at the party- Romeo Montague. Romeo and Juliet run away and secretly get married, withthe hope that their families will see how much they love one another and stop all the fighting.The two young lovers return home, waiting for the right time to tell their parents the news, but more dramaunfolds.
