Maria is the most consistent student that I have all day.  I know that she will always bring all of her materials and do well because that is what she has done all year.

There was a variety of foods to choose from at the buffet: six kinds of salad dressing, seven different types of breads, and at least a dozen different desserts!

The teacher offered all of the students an incentive: "If you will all bring your reports back tomorrow, I will give you candy!"

After the tornado swept through our town, many homes were destroyed.  It took nearly three weeks to refurbish our home well enough to move back in to.

On a Monday morning, my students are usually lethargic.  While I talk, they lay their heads down on their desk, they are slow to complete their work, and they do not even seem like they want to hurry out of the room when the bell rings.

I hope that the heavy rain starts to diminish by later this afternoon.  I am kind of tired of carrying my umbrella around so much. 

I feel like my teacher gives very vague directions.  After she gets finished explaining the project, I am still not certain what it is we are supposed to be working on.

The students quickly dispel from the room during a fire drill and exit the building toward the baseball fields.

I know that the project is not due until next month, but I feel like we have made so much headway.  I think we will be able to turn it in two weeks early.
