When a character suddenly realizes something

When a character is given advice from another character, usually an older character

A word, phrase, or image is repeated throughout a story

When a character interrupts the story with a flashback

When a character asks themselves something very difficult

Ask yourself, "What is the life lesson and how might it affect the character?"

Ask yourself, "Why do I keep seeing this over and over?"

Ask yourself, "Why is the character acting this way or saying that?"

Ask yourself, "Why is this memory important?"

Ask yourself, "What does this question make me wonder about?"

Ask yourself, "How might this change things? (now they understand something)

Some key words include, "I remember when..., Years ago..., and When I was your age..."

Some key words include, "Suddenly I knew..., I realized that..., I now know what I have to do..."

Some key words include, "How will I ever..., What if I can't..., or "Why did I..."
