Whose Christmas Memory: We have a family Christmas tradition that we do every year the week before Christmas. We go to the store and buy 7 different types of cookies at the beginning of that week. Each day, we bake a certain type of cookie and watch our favorite Christmas movies as a family. Some of our favorite movies include Home Alone and A Christmas Story!

Whose Christmas memory: Not sure if this qualifies as favorite, but it is the most talked about Christmas memory of my family. It was when my mom had received some salt dough ornaments that were painted and varnished and I ate every one of them off the tree. Poison control was called, but I lived to tell the tale!😓

The looks on their faces were priceless when they woke up on Christmas morning and saw the presents under the tree. Every time they opened something they were so happy.

Whose Christmas memory: One Christmas season when the kids were young, we decided to have a real Christmas tree. Everyone bundled up and we drove out to the boonies somewhere to cut down our own tree. There was snow on the ground

that crunched while we searched for the perfect tree. After looking up and down many rows of trees, we found the tree, the most perfect one was at the back.! We worked hard to cut down the tree. It would be the best Christmas tree ever! After all the hard work, we all enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate.

Whose Christmas Memory: My favorite memory is Christmas morning as a little kid and being woken up by my big sister as she whispers, 'Santa came!' and we run downstairs to the fireplace and see all the goodies in our stockings

Whose Christmas Memory: On Christmas Eve, we would all go to my grandmother's house. After opening presents, her house would be filled with opened boxes, shreds of wrapping paper, and toys. (lots and lots of toys). While playing with our new treasures, we could hear sleigh bells ringing outside. We would sprint out the front door to try to catch a glimpse of Santa in the sky. We would never see him (although some of us would claim we did). But, what we would find, would be just as special. Each year, a different child would be the one to find a sleigh bell that fell off of Santa's Sleigh. This tradition (of my father running around outside of the house in the freezing cold, shaking sleigh bells), didn't begin until I was older. Being the oldest cousin, I didn't get to enjoy in the fun of retrieving a bell. But, I did enjoy watching my younger family members light up with excitement every time they would hear the sleigh bells on Christmas Eve.

Whose Christmas Memory: I got my first Atari 2600 game console. This was the first video game console I ever had (Of course Atari 5200 & Coleco-vision game consoles came years later....) I remember playing Night Driver for several hours.

Whose Christmas Memory: One of my Christmas memories is when I went to a second hand store.

All alone, on the shelf, was a small wooden donkey.

I asked why he was there.

The store keeper said that a nativity set was sold and he got left behind by mistake.

I asked the price. It was .50 cents. I bought him.

He now has a front row place in my party at the manger that I set up every year.

The reason for the party at the manger is that when my mother-in-law passed away I received all

of her nativity pieces also. I have to put them out so all can worship.

Whose Christmas Memory: My favorite memory was in high school and my mother was driving my older sister back from California. She was moving back to Chicago. They arrived Christmas day and I had been in charge of making the Christmas meal. I did the turkey and dressings and sides by myself, I was about 15 years old. We usually had about 12 people, so I was pretty proud to pull it off without them and they arrived after driving all day cross country. Food was ready right on time! It was a great homecoming.
