Yard hygiene to prevent spread, immunity of the horse (plus Immuno RS ;-)), imaverol and Griseofulvin can ALL help, but not ALL are always used or needed. If the yard is not under time pressure then hygiene and waiting for immune system is often used.
What is NOT an argument to decide if they want to or not use imaverol when there is a ringworm outbreak on a horse yard?

Some horses on the yard go to competitions, to be allowed to compete they need to not show any signs or if they do then we need to have a certificate to show that the ringworm is dead and cannot infect other horses. So to speed this up and comete sooner we will use Imaverol.
All people in contact with the horses are healthy and with good immunity, and we are able to have strict hygiene on the yard to prevent spread.
There are children on the yard, I don't want them to get infected so will clear the outbreak faster by using Imaverol
It's UNSAFE for the pregnant mares or foals in my yard.

The quickest way to get a competition horse back out to compete after an outbreak on the yard?
Just don't tell anyone, they may not notice at the competition
Treat the competition horse with imaverol as soon as another horse shows signs, to prevent the horse from getting it.
Hygiene on the yard, boost immune system of competition horse (Immuno RS) could help, treat any horse that shows signs. IF the competition hose shows signs then treat with Imaverol, maybe griseofulvin also, and use a PCR as the quickest way to confirm the fungus is gone and get a certificate.
Treat the whole environment (rugs, brushes, stable etc) with imaverol, it can be fumigated and does not stain (except suede material)
