With its origins found in the Federalist Papers urging its creation, the war had left the US in debt. Some states were bankrupt. We needed one unified currency. Hamilton suggested a central bank to create a standard form of currency.

Thomas Jefferson defied strict construction ideals to make a land deal with Napoleon for the purchase of all of the this territory out west for 15 million dollars. This land purchase doubled the size of the United States and would stretch from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains. Corps of Discovery led by Lewis and Clark, would map out the territory to Pacific Ocean.
