Shapes which are drawn using the Oval Primitive Tool are already grouped.

If you want to change the Fill Color of your shape, all you need to do is change the Stroke Color of the shape in the Shape Properties

The points or corners of shapes can still be modified by using the Selection and Sub-selection Tool

Shapes drawn using the Rectangle Primitive Tool are not yet grouped.

By default, the stage color is set to Black.

If you want to change the width of the Stage to 500 px, all you need to do is type 500 in the second value set in the Properties Panel > Properties > Size

By default, the frame rate should be set to 24 fps.

The contents of the Properties Panel do not change regardless of the tool or object selected.

Shapes which are drawn using the Rectangle Tool are still ungrouped hence you still have to group it.

The shortcut key for grouping objects is Ctrl + B

By default, the unit used to measure the height and width of the Stage is set to inches.

You cannot used and modify the Rectangle Tool to create a rounded rectangle.

Through the Properties Panel, you can still modify the stroke style and thickness of the objects.
