Kareem's mother asked, "Do you have everything packed for your trip?" She scanned his room looking at all of the mess he had made packing his clothes for summer camp.
"I am just about finished," replied Kareem. Kareem was nervous about leaving for summer camp. He had never been away from home for more than a night when he stayed at his friend's house, and even then he was only five minutes away from his house. Now he was going to be spending a week at a camp that was several hours away from his home.
His mother understood the look on his face and said, "Kareem, I know this is probably a little scary for you since you are going to be so far away from home, but you are going to have so much fun. Your grandmother and I will see you in a week!"
