Corcovado National Park is a National Park on the Osa Peninsula in Osa Canton, southwestern Costa Rica, which is part of the Osa Conservation Area. The Virgen del Carmen is hosted on the Saturday that is nearest to July 16th at the Port City of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. The purpose is to remember the incident that took place in the early 1920s when many fishermen and their boats were hit by a storm.
