Do you know which the most popular TV series of the 1980s was? It was

1981 to May 1989. It was a production made by Aaron Spelling, an
American film and television producer.

Dynasty is about a very rich American family that lives in Denver,
Colorado. The three main characters are: Blake, his wife Krystle and
his ex-wife Alexis. The story starts when Blake, the father of two adult
children, marries his secretary, Krystle. Soon his ex-wife Alexis arrives
and her only aim is to destroy Blake’s happiness.

At the beginning the series was not that popular but in the spring of
1985 it became the number one show in the United States. Altogether
there were nine seasons, but the last two weren’t as popular as seasons
two to seven. Eventually, after 220 episodes, the story finished with
season number nine.

Dynasty was nominated for a Golden Globe Award six times but it won it
only in 1984. The actors were nominated, too. John Forsythe (Blake) won
the Best Actor’s Award twice, Linda Evans (Krystle) got the Best Actress’s
Award once and Joan Collins (Alexis) also won it once.

Not only was the show incredibly popular in the USA, it was also hugely
successful in other parts of the globe, especially in the former Yugoslavia.
In Poland Dynasty was first shown in July 1990, continuing without any
