What is this author's point of view... Are the world's oceans polluted (contaminated)? This is a question many experts have asked. There are signs of pollution in our oceans, such as a large floating body (mass) of plastic and garbage in the Pacific Ocean. There have also been oil (petroleum) spills around the world that have caused harm. However, I don't feel like these issues (problems) have hurt the oceans to the point of worry. Animals and fish are still surviving, and when I go to the beach I don't find myself swimming in plastic.
