This Digital Video Production Course is an elective class that lasts for one semester.

This course requires students to be extremely self-disciplined and very conscientious of deadlines much like how one would need to be in order to thrive in the production world as a working professional.

A goal in this course includes imparting knowledge relating to effective camera / editing equipment use and care to students.

A goal in this course includes promoting greater self-discipline, independent online learning, and time-management skills within an artistic, technical, and educational setting to students.

A goal in this course includes utilizing and demonstrating the students' overall production knowledge by helping create numerous website content which promote the Saint Genevieve Parish School Community.

Some of the topics / concepts that are covered in this course includes camera operations, camera angles & composition, lighting, and non-linear editing.

The instructor uses a point system for grading which means that students shall earn points for each “assignment” (includes projects, tests, quizzes, homework, etc.) that are given. Students who earn the most points will be the ones who wind up with the highest report card grades in the entire course.

There is absolutely no late work accepted in this class. There are no exceptions!

Any behavior that interferes with another student’s ability to learn or with the instructor’s ability to teach is not going to be tolerated and will be immediately dealt with. Multiple offences will be dealt with on a gradient scale of severity.
