Dorothy lives on a farm with her dog Toto, Auntie Em, and Uncle Henry. She dreams of exciting adventures in far-away lands.

A tornado sweeps across the farm where Dorothy lives, carrying her away to a magical land called Oz.

Dorothy explores this wondrous new land called Oz. Along the way, she makes new friends: the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the cowardly Lion. Together, they navigate a haunted forest, facing strange creatures and dodging the witch at every turn.

Dorothy faces off against her greatest challenge: the Wicked Witch of the West. Following a mighty struggle, Dorothy triumphs by melting the witch (with a pail of water).

With the Wicked Witch out of the way, Dorothy returns to the Wizard of Oz, ready to go home. Unfortunately, it turns out that the Wizard is a fraud who can't help Dorothy get home at all. Luckily, Glenda the Good Witch explains that Dorothy can get home using her ruby slippers.

Dorothy returns home safe and sound, realizing that "There's no place like home."
