2. On the day of the dance, the Mayaro Athletic Club was hosting a sports meet on the grounds outside the school.

3. The fair was mainly for grown people but lots of children went too.

10. Lennard told the bar mixer that Shell was Mr. Gidharee’s son in law.

11. The bartender referred to Shell as a ‘little boy’.

12. After Discovery Day, Shellie did not see Rosalie or any of the boys again because he was embarrassed about his behaviour at the fair.

13. When Mrs. Gidharee came to visit Shellie and his mother, they both burst into tears because they were sorrowful.

14. Shell’s mother did not allow Shell to go very often with Mr. Gidharee because she was embarrassed about it feeling like charity.

20. Shellie wanted to see Joan again and thought it wise to ask Freddie for directions as he did not want Lennard to think he was tracking her down.
