Minimum length of stock that is allowed in the planer must be longer than the distance between the inside rollers.

All glue must be removed from the wood before using the machine.

It is safe to keep fingers closer than 4” away from the infeed table.

It is safe to plane wood with loose knots and other defects.

It is safe to plane multiple boards of equal thickness one after another time.

All height adjustments to the planer must be made while the machine is at a complete stop and the power is off.

Plane against the grain direction and with the flat side facing down.

If stock becomes stuck, it is safe to stop the machine and wait for the planer knives to come to a complete stop before lowering the table.

It is ok to stand directly behind the infeed table.

It is unsafe to bend down and look into the planer while it is running.

Eye protection is NOT necessary when operating the planer.

The cutting knives are located on the top of the inside of the machine.

Planning boards that have bow or curve will make them flat.

When you plane your wood you should always check it with a ruler after every pass on the machine.
