The tired teacher was talking to her cat again.

The children were playing in the snow. One of them started crying, and then another child tripped and fell on his face. The afternoon went from bad to worse quickly.

"Fourteen snowballs are hidden under my hat," I shouted to no one in particular.

Everyone was either playing video games or drinking hot chocolate. No one saw the large, ferocious bear crawling out of the forest and heading straight for the cabin.

I forgot to wrap Mom's gift, so I ran downstairs and tiptoed to the garage. I looked behind my bike and found the small box I had hidden. I picked it up and smiled to myself. "Plastic cockroaches: the gift every mother wants."

"Is that a goat staring at me outside the window?" I asked my dad.

The goat looked inside the window and saw several humans staring at him.

The reindeer forgot they were supposed to be flying and were napping instead.

"Don't forget to take your aardvark to the grocery store this holiday season" is a sentence no one has ever told me. I hear a lot of things, but I've never heard that.
