Never wear loose clothing or long sleeves while operating any machinery with moving parts.

Clean up grease and oil spills immediately.

Oil or clean all machines while they are in motion.

Gasoline can be used as a cleaner.

Diesel should be stored in red safety cans.

It is okay to leave oilcans on the benches or tables.

All portable electrical equipment should be grounded through the ground wire.

Always work in your assigned area.

Never leave tools lying on the floor or on projects. Keep them all on your bench in your work place.

Know where the first aid equipment is located.

Always stand behind moving belts, chains, or other moveable parts.

Report all injuries to your instructor for treatment regardless of how small.

Know where all fire extinguishers are and how they are used.

Always store oily and greasy rags in a fireproof container.

If your clothing catches fire, run for water.

Always use your back to lift heavy objects.
