3.

Below you will find four introduction paragraphs for the argumentative topic: "Is procrastination a positive or negative?" Examine the introductions, and decide which argumentative introduction is the most well written?

a)

Have you ever been a victim of procrastination? Well according to passage two it talks about how everyone is prone to procrastination. When people procrastinate it is usually caused by many different factors that can lead to putting off work. There are plenty of ways that you can stay on topic and not procrastinate.

b)

I believe that people who do not procrastinate will lead you to become successful in your work. Stating the procrastination is bad if it is used all the time and not managed correctly enough to give you enough time. Without procrastination things can get done quickly and more efficiently.

c)

Let's be honest we all would rather sit down and watch tv or be on our phones than sit down and fold our month old laundry that's in the corner of our room. We all procrastinate, there is no denying it. We can, though, manage our time wisely and find our way through procrastination. Procrastination is human nature we all have done it or still do it. There might be some ways we can minimize procrastinating.

d)

Personally I think structured procrastination is ok and needed sometimes. In some situations you are too stressed out to do what you need to do right at that second, and you need a break to relax. Too much work all at once could also affect your mental health . As long as you have it done when it is supposed to be done then I don't believe procrastinating is bad. If you are procrastinating to the point where you don't get anything done at all and you aren't meeting deadlines then it's bad and harmful.

4.

Below you will find four body paragraphs for the argumentative topic: "Does stretching have a positive or negative effect on athletes." Examine the body paragraphs, and decide which argumentative body paragraph is the most well written?

a)

Some people say that stretching, if you do it too much, could snap your muscles and cause muscle injuries. Passage 2, The Wrong Way to Go, says, " The researchers warned trainers and coaches that pre-game stretching can have a harmful effect on performance." The passage is saying that stretching before you go to a soccer game or football game would harm you or hurt you and cause damage to your muscles and provoke you from playing that day. That is not true at all! In fact, stretching helps you body and makes you more healthy and strengthens your muscles. Passage 1, The Right Way, says, " Stretching both strengthens and lengthens the muscles." The passage is saying that stretching can strengthen you muscles and make them stronger and healthier but, if you don't stretch your muscles they will be un healthy and that could be bad for your bones and cause problems.

b)

When people said the Earth was flat there was most people who believed it as they had been brain washed by the government. But there was a group of very few people that believed that the planet Earth was round. The text states " A research group studied two groups of men and women aged nineteen to twenty-five. One group stretched before weight lifting, and the other group did not. The researchers found that stretching reduced muscle power in the biceps. Another study found the same result for leg muscles. The study noted that muscle power is very important in athletic performance. The researchers warned trainers and coaches that pre-game stretching can have a harmful effect on performance." This also is more evidence on why stretching is good and very healthy for you.

c)

People may say that stretching can make weight lifters lose muscle power. This is said in passage two "A research group studied two groups of men and women aged nineteen to twenty-five. One group stretched before weight lifting, and the other group did not. The researchers found that stretching reduced muscle power in the biceps. Another study found the same result for leg muscles." This may be true, but without stretching your muscles, runners can lose stamina, allow runners take longer strides, and help them run faster. All this can be supported in passage one. All these claims should help you understand how important stretching can super helpful to everyone.

d)

When I am getting ready for a running event or soccer event I stretch because it loosens up your muscles, strengthens them, lengthens them, and prepares you for what you are about to do. When you are stretching you are moving your muscles around to loosen them such as arm mills, plank, jumping jacks, etc. It would not weaken or make your muscles tighten up.

5.

Below you will find four conclusion paragraphs for different argumentative topics. Examine conclusion, and decide which argumentative conclusion paragraph is the most well written?

a)

We now know that it is useless to stretch.

b)

In conclusion, to overcome procrastinating, you must manage your time and have confidence that you can do it. Whether that's by following certain steps or being able to fit your work in while working on something else. Following certain steps can make it so much easier to understand time management, but you must have the right mindset. If you keep doing nothing, nothing is going to come out of procrastinating. It's best to not procrastinate, because that's more work and effort than actually getting your work completed.

c)

In conclusion there are many ways to manage your time wisely instead of procrastinating. Finding our way through procrastination can be difficult but there is always a way out of it. Actually, we sometimes procrastinate because we just don't feel like doing anything, or because we wannna make everything perfect. When doing a tasks we should just get to it and finish. Remember, procrastination is natural in humans, but there is always a way to get through it.

d)

Stretching cannot always prevent injuries. It can wear you out before you start exercising. There are many more reasons that stretching does not help. What other reasons can you think of?

e)

In conclusion, my personal opinion would be no being a procrastinator is not a bad thing, just work on fixing the issues from these text of the two passages.
