그럼에도 불구하고 <Lux Aurumque>라고 불리는 노래는 아름다운 목소리가 섞여 공연된다. 이것이 ‘가상 합창단’이다.

Yet a song called "Lux Aurumque" [performs / is performed] by a beautiful mix of voices. This is a "virtual choir."

가상 합창단은 Eric Whitacre의 아이디어였다. 2009년 어느 날, 그 현대 음악 작곡가는 친구로부터 한 젊은 팬에 관한 이야기를 들었다.

The virtual choir was Eric Whitacre's idea. One day in 2009, the modern music composer [told / was told] by a friend about a young fan.

그 팬은 그가 작곡한 <Sleep>의 소프라노 부분을 부르는 자신의 모습을 비디오로 찍어서 그를 위해 온라인에 게시했다.

She had videoed [her / herself] [sang / singing] the soprano part of his composition "Sleep" and posted it for him online.

비디오 속 그녀의 목소리는 달콤하고 순수했다.

In the video, her voice sounded [sweet / sweetly] and [pure / purely].

그 비디오에서 영감을 받아 Whitacre는 가상 합창단을 만들기로 결심했다.

[Inspiring / Inspired] by the video, Whitacre decided to make a virtual choir.

그는 ‘만약 내가 50명의 사람에게 자신의 파트를 노래하고 비디오를 게시하게 할 수 있다면, 나는 그것들을 한데 모아서 아름다운 어떤 것을 만들어 낼 수 있을 거야.

He thought, "If I can get 50 people [sing / to sing] their parts and post their videos, I can put them together and create [beautiful something / something beautiful].

노래 부르는 것을 좋아하는 사람들이 함께 합창을 하기 위해 한 곳에 모일 필요는 없어.’라고 생각했다.

[Those / These] who [love / loves] to sing [doesn‘t / don't] have to be in the same place to perform a choral work together."

Whitacre는 곧 그의 온라인 팬들에게 노래를 부르는 자신의 모습을 녹화하고 그 비디오를 전송해 달라고 요청했다.

Whitacre soon sent out a call to his online fans to record [them / themselves] singing and upload [his / their] videos.

자신의 생각을 현실로 만들기 위해 Whitacre는 여러 단계를 거쳤다.

[Make / To make] his idea a reality, Whitacre went through several steps.

먼저, 그는 팬들에게 <Lux Aurumque>라는 자신의 곡을 다운로드 해 달라고 요청했다.

First, he asked the fans [downloading / to download] his work "Lux Aurumque."

그러고나서 그는 피아노 음악에 맞춰 지휘를 한 비디오를 게시했다.
