Meditation verse for the book of 1 Samuel chapters 13&14:
In chapter 13 we learn about how Saul didn't follow God's commandments to wait for Samuel the priest and prophet to offer the sacrifice, and used his earthly wisdom which led to God's rejection to him as a king over Israel.
In chapter 14 we learn about the battel against the Philistines, and how God delivered a big number of them in Jonathan’s hand. However King Saul made unwise oath led to bad consequences.
In chapter 13 verse 9, Saul disobeyed God and offered the sacrifice instead of Samuel breaking God’s commandments which led to losing his kingdom. We shouldn’t break God’s commandment no matter tribulations or hardships we are going through, knowing that if we are faithful to the end, God will reward us with the crown of life.
